A wonderful relish with hot peppers, carrots, and cabbage; flavored with garlic cloves. Crack open a jar this winter to remind yourself of the bounties of last summer.
Mix ½ cup pickling salt to 1 gallon of water. Mix well. Pack cabbage, hot peppers, garlic cloves, green tomatoes, and sliced carrots in jar. Bring water to boil, pour over to fill the jar while still hot. Seal and serve in six weeks.
