We don't know why the combination of horseradish and cheese became known as Bar Cheese, but for whatever its etymology - it is. Here's how Sue Powers prepares her homemade version.
Ingredients
1 box of Velveeta (16 oz) cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 small jar (7 ounce) horseradish.
Instructions
Mix ingredients and refrigerate overnight before serving. Serve with crackers or pretzels. You can also add jalapenos to spice it up a bit.
